Frequently Asked Questions

Tickets for our food tours can be purchased directly via Hidden.NYC by using the “Book Now” feature.  We accept payments via Paypal or credit card.
We are sorry, all food tour tickets must be purchased online prior to the event.  Walk up and cash payments are not accepted.
Gratuity is not included in your ticket price. However, tips are always greatly appreciated.
We understand that sometimes your travel plans may change due to unexpected circumstances. As a rule, we refund all payments if you cancel 7 days before the scheduled date of the reserved experience.
Hidden NYC reserves the right to cancel due to low attendance. If fewer than 3 participants are signed up within 48 hours of the event, it will be canceled. You will then have the option to select another date or have your ticket(s) fully refunded.
Our experiences are designed as semi-private events. We do limit the size of the group to ten guests per locale. Therefore, if you are inquiring as a couple, for instance, other couples or solo travelers may join the experience. If you want a private experience instead, please fill out the form below. We will be more than happy to work something out.  Just note that we may request an additional charge for a private experience.
Corporate tours are available and we very much welcome the opportunity to host your team outing.
Our tours are for everyone.  While some children absolutely love it, others may not. We suggest you discuss the tour with your children and see if they like the idea of joining. That said, children are definitely very welcome (we love kids) and we do our best to make everyone happy!
This tour is all the dining you’ll need. Bring your appetite.
Each tour includes a little over one mile of walking spread out over four hours.
We always respond to all inquiries and do so quickly. If you have not received a response within 24 hours, please check your spam folder. If it’s not there, something’s gone wrong. Just send us a message again. And double check that you included the correct email address.
We’re sorry, but we have to say no, although we do provide non-alcoholic options wherever we go. Thank you for understanding.
Yes. We think food and drinks are a big part of the culture and the local scene, and they should be a part of the experience. We also want you to forget about money, cash, change (and exchange rates for our international travelers) for a while. Just sit back and relax. We will be making all the payments.
Tough question that deserves an honest answer. We do our best to accommodate every preference, allergy or restriction. That said, we still want to show a true image of what New York City cuisine is all about. We will, of course, serve some vegan dishes upon request.  Those with a gluten allergy are welcome to join our walks, with a slightly modified and/or limited assortment of dishes. We do write this now to avoid any disappointments later. We think that when it comes to food allergies and dietary restrictions, honesty is the best policy.
Please try to be on time. We wait for ten minutes. If you are running later than 20 minutes after the starting time and you still want to join the tour, call us when you get to the meeting point. We will let you know where and when you can meet us. We will also always try to contact you by phone or email if we can’t find you at the meeting place.
Really bad. We usually design our experiences and events to take the possibility of bad weather into account.  We will cancel the tour if the conditions are truly extreme.  We will notify you as much in advance as possible and refund you your money or, if you prefer, reschedule you for another day.
